Laura P. Jimenez-Quintero, M.D. has extensive knowledge and expertise in all areas of anatomic and clinical pathology. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists. She has been practicing pathology for more than 20 years in the Houston area.

Dr. Jimenez-Quintero received her medical degree from the Universidad de Nuevo León where she was Salutatorian and received an Honorable Mention. She completed her internship in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Baptist Memorial Hospital System in San Antonio, Texas, followed by a residency in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. In 1993, she completed her fellowship in Anatomic Pathology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

She has served as Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas Medical School in Houston. In addition to publishing scientific and clinical papers, she participated in training residents in pathology at the Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital. She has also served on the governing board of the Houston Society of Clinical Pathologists and as chair of the Harris County Medical Society Council of Specialty Societies.

After years in academic practice in the Houston area, Dr. Jimenez-Quintero founded this laboratory in 2010.
